Copenhagen

Our short weekend getaway to Copenhagen was one of my favourite trip so far. The city is effortlessly beautiful and very refreshing. I must say it is not enough for me to explore the whole area in 2 days because there are a lot of things that you could do there. Here are some of my thoughts about the city and our trip.

First of all, Copenhagen is very well organised in a sense that it is so properly designed both, aesthetically and functionally. Architecturally, the height of the buildings are pretty much on the same level. There are no massive buildings on one side and tiny ones in the other. Most of them look similar, but not identical. They still have enough variety to make it lively and diverse.

Second, you can see the sky clearly as well because there is so little pollution in the air. A lot of people use bicycles and public transportations rather than private vehicles. They are aiming to create a sustainable city using bicycle as their primary transportation to create clearer air condition for their city. For longer travel distance, the city provided trains, trams, and buses. It is very convenient for travellers to travel because their public transport is easy to understand and accessible. They also provide spaces in the trains for bicycles which makes it even more convinient for cyclers.

Third, the people here are relatively healthy and happy. I mean, no wonder, they cycled everywhere and they have strict rules on their food regulations. The people here are friendly and most of them can speak English pretty well.

Fourth, my favorite one. Scandinavians are fashionable. They often use neutral colors with basic must-haves. The women here loves to wear suits for casual outfit and also oversized clothings. If I can describe their style in three words it would be minimalistic, proper, and comfortable.

Their lifestyle is simple. You can easily see this from how they dressed themselves and how they designed their homes. Scandinavians are famous for their minimalistic styles. In essence, most of them prefer quality over quantity. It is definitely one thing that I could hold on to even after I left Denmark.

Overall, the trip was very refreshing and enlightening. I definitely recommend you to visit this place because personally I would travel here again and finish what I started!
