Sake+

Sake is one of the best Japanese restaurant in Jakarta. By the name, we know that they serve different variety of Sake. However, their dish is the one that I'm interested in today. I went there for lunch, so I ordered the Salmon Don Set. It is a bowl of salmon sashimi and salmon roe on top of japanese rice, it is almost similar like a chirashi, in fact it is a chirashi. There are side dishes to complement the dish, like chawanmushi, which is an egg custard with a texture of a tofu, then there is miso soup, salad, japanese pickles and fruity jelly dessert, The salmon is fresh, and fresh salmon sashimi never fails anyone. The complementary dishes are also delicious, texture wise and flavor wise.

For my starters I ordered Maguro Sumiso, which is seared tuna topped with miso sauce. Its like the Japanese version tapas. Underneath the tuna theres seaweed or leek. I think the taste is really good. Everything complements each other and the miso sauce does not overpower the freshness of the tuna. The tuna was beautifully seared evenly on the edges and does not have the fishy taste to it, which is good.

My mocktail (because I'm not legal to order the alcohol beverages, haha) which is the Vojito, is a soda with lime and minty flavor to it. It is really refreshing, however, I suggest to drink this separately with the meal because I think its a little bit of with each other. I ordered a japanese tea too, typical companion for the Japanese dish.
